Welcome to the Coven
We are an herbalist and artisan collective creating offerings of wildcrafted & homegrown herbal medicine, sacred art & ritual tools, and educational zines that share wisdom & resources on grief, death, dying, & practical herbalism.
Our collective is rooted in the chthonic, a Greek word that means of the Underworld, or of the Earth (chthon meaning Earth). We draw all of our inspiration and purpose from the deep underground wellspring of meaning that exists just below the surface, and in the very tangible relationships we humans have to the land, to our ancestors, and to the Beloved Dead. We seek to re-member ourselves back into the web of life and reclaim the sacred place of Death in the cycles of our world.
As deathworkers, our herbal medicine is specialized for end of life care, grief tending, death & dying, and ritual use. Our art explores the themes of land, animism, death, and the webs of kinship we exist within. And our collective members offer workshops, teaching, and writing about deathcare, ritual, and herbalism - please reach out here to inquire about hosting us for a workshop.
